There are 2 big ski areas nearby and each of them is very easy to get to. The  Wildkogel Arena is a 10 minute drive away, while Zillertal Arena is a mere 30 minutes in the car – both ski areas are very easily accessible with the free ski bus, which starts out just 200 metres from your accommodation.  

The Wildkogel Arena ski area starts in Neukirchen. The Wildkogel cable car takes you to the ski area, which has more than 75 km of perfectly tended pistes. 20 state-of-the-art lift facilities take you up to more than 2100 metres altitude, where more than 30 ski lodges and mountain inns take care of your corporeal requirements. This ski area is ideal for everyone – from family to pro level.

The Zillertal Arena is a ski area which has 143km pistes and 52 lift facilities. You get to enjoy non-stop skiing and snowboarding here. There are around 30 ski lodges and mountain inns where you can take a break.

However, should you prefer to enjoy a ski tour away from the general hustle and bustle on the piste, then in Neukirchen and the region there are a great deal of, partly, signposted ski tours to countless summits.
